Theres another idea for a blog-meet - a salad dressing tasting with the good old Ceaser taking centre stage!

David

Heat wave? Get thee back to Paris...I'm unpacking my sweaters!

ExAfrica

Caesar Salad...oh how I used to crave that in Cape Town. I never did find anywhere that served one.

Funny, though, since I have been back in the Land Of The Eating have only had one Caesar. Mmmmm.

Jeanne

Hi Andrew
Yes, yes, yes! I have often wanted to do that but what does one do with 5 open bottles of open Caesar dressing in a hosue with only two people?!? A blog meet would be the ideal opportunity to do this - and since limited/no kitchen facilities woudl be needed, we can even do it at mine ;-)

Hi David
Tsk, tsk, never happy!! Too hot, too cold... LOL! I must say I am surprised at the late burst of heat here in London - even today with it's grey skies is still warm and a bit muggy. But let me assure you, given half a chance, I'd grab a sweater and scoot over to Paris!

Hi ExAfrica
Oh what a pity - I could have told you about Le Vendome's extraordinary Caesar, or the delicious Caesar I had at the Winchester Mansions hotel in Sea Point. On the other hand, nowhere that I have come across in London serves a grilled haloumi salad, and they're available EVERYWHERE in South Africa!

Hi Jeanne,

What a great idea! I've never thought of eating caesar salad with a side of grilled salmon! Caesar at our place is usually a cajun chicken caesar affair with croutons and extra parmesan for the housemate and no anchovies.

I have tried Paul Newmans and Cardini's caesar dressing and I must say I still prefer Cardini's. Haven't tried the Hellman's yet, don't think we have that in the supermarket that I go to.

Talking of heatwave, it's suppose to be spring here down under but it's 30degrees in Melbourne today! but then, we get crazy weather in Melbourne all the time so I guess it's no big deal. :)
